Connect QuickBooks Online
Connecting is done once, by someone with the Company Admin role on your QuickBooks Online company. It takes a couple of minutes and we normally do it together on a screen share so you can see exactly what is being granted.
What you are granting
Access to your accounting data: invoices, estimates, payments, credit notes and customer records. Our software only ever issues read requests — no edits, no new entries, nothing written back to your books.
We say this plainly because the platform does not enforce it: Intuit's accounting permission is a combined read-and-write permission and there is no read-only variant to request. The restriction is one we impose on our own software, and you do not have to take our word for it — every change to your books is recorded in the audit log inside your own QuickBooks company, where you can check it yourself at any time. To connect
- Email brad@worthdoingwell.ca and we will send you the connection link for your dashboard.
- Sign in to QuickBooks Online as a Company Admin when prompted.
- Choose the company you want to connect and approve the request.
To reconnect
Access expires if it goes unused for a long period, or if it was previously disconnected. Reconnecting is the same three steps. Nothing is lost — the dashboard simply resumes reading once access is restored.
